Explore the Arctic in its summer beauty with man’s best friend by your side. Learn about what our sled dogs get up to in the summer and meet our puppies.
During the summer time the snow is gone and the beautiful mountainside explodes with flowers, berries and birdsong. What better way to explore this paradise than with a loyal husky by your side. Just a short drive from the city, you will be equipped with a hiking belt and line that will be clipped onto the harness of your furry friend for the trip.
Our dogs are very social, enthusiastic and loves interacting with people, so hiking with them is a fun and exciting adventure. This is a hands on experience where you can interact with our dogs and learn about a day-in-the-life of an Alaskan Husky.
After meeting you at the pick up point, enjoy a short scenic drive out to our kennel. On arrival we will provide you the necessary equipment and you will meet your husky! Our guides are professional and will take good care of you from start to finish.
We breed one or two litters of puppies every summer. These are our future sled dogs and are very loved and well cared for. Socialisation and interaction with our guests is a very important part of our puppy training, and also a very nice experience for both children and adults. Who can resist cute, fluffy and happy puppies?
After your hike enjoy hot and cold drinks in the Sami lavvu and a well earned slice of our famous chocolate cake.

Family Husky Hiking and Puppy Experience
The family hike is an easy hike perfect for children. There is no minimum age for this activity – our dogs are very friendly, however parents are asked to supervise their children at all times. We can provide car seats for toddlers for transport to and from the city.
Husky Hiking and Puppy Experience
The regular husky hike is rated to level medium. The terrain is a bit more challenging, we go further up in the highlands and get a beautiful view. This hiking is perfect for single-travelers, couples, friends and groups. If you want something even more challenging, let us know and we can make a special route just for you!

Take a look around our kennel
Due to the long days in the summer months, you will enjoy extra long daylight – a truly beautiful experience, and a photographers dream.
We may be lucky and spot wildlife such as moose, bird life or reindeer, however we can never guarantee this. Our guides are experts in spotting signs of activity and will explain the sights you are seeing along the way.
