On our guided RIB tour, we take you out among islands, skerries, and open coastline where the scenery is at its most raw and beautiful. From the water you’ll get views of Henningsvær, discover uniqe destiantions you can’t reach by land, and feel the fresh sea air that has shaped life here for generations.
This tour is a great chance to experience local wildlife like orcas, pilot whales, sea eagles, seals, seabirds. We keep a lookout throughout the trip and adapt the route to what we find.
We make photo-friendly stops along the way, giving you time to take pictures of both landscapes and wildlife. Your guide will share interesting stories about the area — the fishing heritage, the mountains and islands around you, and why Henningsvær is such a uniqe and famous place both for Norwegians and travellers.

Tour information
- Meeting point for this tour is on the pier of Henningsvær. Please be ready 10 minutes before your departure time.
- Our skipper will greet you. You will receive a thermal flotation suit, life vest and goggles.
- Once you are kitted up, then it is time for the safari to begin!
- This guided tour combines speed, spectacular Arctic scenery with local myths and tales, and the opportunity to see our local wildlife.
- Henningsvær area consists of many small islands, where we can explore rich birdlife habitats. You may spot orcas, pilot whales, minke whales, common eiders, guillemots, and razorbills in their natural surroundings — and with a bit of luck, the iconic Atlantic puffin. Bring your camera, as incredible photo opportunities await where the ocean meets the sky.
- We cruise through the territory of the majestic white-tailed sea eagle. At their regular perching and hunting spots, we see these impressive birds soaring overhead or observing us from the cliffs — a truly powerful Arctic experience.
- We often encounter harbor seals and grey seals resting on skerries or swimming curiously near the boat. Watching these playful and charismatic marine mammals in their natural habitat is always a highlight of the tour.
Remember to bring you camera or phone, a little plastic bag to cover your things from sea spray and clotes that are comfortable on sea like a hat, scarf, sunglasses.
- Please note, that it can be windy on the tour and you may get splashed by waves. You are welcome to bring your camera on the boat, however please take care to protect any equipment from exposure to salt water. Personal possessions are stowed onboard at your own risk.
- For safety, guests must be over 140cm tall to join this tour. Children younger than 7 years old cannot join the tour.
- Pregnant women cannot join our RIB tours for safety reasons.
