Explore our kennel in Tromsø and meet the real heroes of the Arctic. Learn about how we run our kennel and train our sled dogs. Enjoy learning about what it means to run a dog sledding kennel in the Arctic Circle in Tromsø. Our dogs are very social, enthusiastic and love interacting with people. A kennel visit is a hands on experience where you can interact with our dogs and learn about a day-in-the-life of an Alaskan Husky.

Socialisation and interaction with our guests is a very important training for our youngsters, and also a very nice experience for both children and adults. Who can resist cute, fluffy and happy dogs?

After you have met the huskies enjoy hot and cold drinks in the Sami lavvu and a slice of our tasty cake.

Transport: You can get here by rental car or taxi.

Please note, we ususally only breed puppies in the summer months, but can of course never guarantee puppies and puppy cuddles. Remember, you will be getting up close with our dogs and puppies, so we advise that you don’t wear fancy clothes! If you need advice what to wear, please contact us.

Can I cuddle as much as I want with the dogs?

One of the highlights of visiting our husky kennel is, undoubtedly, the opportunity to cuddle with the dogs. Our dogs are friendly, social and affectionate by nature, so please feel free to give them lots of cuddles! We would actually love you to do so, as it makes it easier for us giving them all the love they deserve. The more cuddling hands the better.

However, it’s important to remember that these dogs are also athletes, trained for endurance and strength. Our staff will guide you on how to approach the dogs, ensuring that both you and the huskies have a safe and enjoyable experience. So, while you can cuddle to your heart’s content, always respect the dogs’ space and the instructions provided by our staff.

Is 1.5 hours enough for a kennel visit?

We know it might seem short with a visit that lasts only 1.5 hours. But in reality, it actually is the perfect amount of time to fully enjoy the experience and our husky kennel. During this time, you will be introduced to the huskies, learn about their lives, and spend time interacting with them.

The visit usually starts with a tour of the kennel, where you can see the different areas where the dogs live and train. This is followed by a chance to meet and play with the huskies, which is often the highlight of the visit.

The time spent at the husky kennel is well-structured, ensuring that you get a comprehensive experience without feeling rushed.
