We are located a 30 minutes drive from Tromsø city centre.

Do I need to be fit to do self-drive husky dog sledding?
You do need a certain level of fitness to go dog sledding, as you will need to help the dogs uphill and to be able to scoot or push the sled from time to time. It is also important to be able to have a good grip on the handlebar and to keep the balance. Dog sledding is a team sport and the dogs will work harder for you if you help them.
If you have a moderate level of fitness, you will do very good!
Do you only have self-drive husky dog sledding tours?
Yes. We do only have self-drive dog sledding tours with one driver and one passenger per sled. You will follow a guide that takes good care of you and help you if needed.
Do you have a waiting list for your dog sledding tours?
Unfortunately, no. We do get a lot of requests on our husky tours on a daily basis. Therefore, we cannot manage a waiting list. You are welcome to keep an eye on our website for any last minute cancellations.
Can we drive to the kennel ourselves?
If you have your own transport, you are welcome to drive yourselves to our kennel. Let us know beforehand, so we can let our bus driver know.
When are we back in Tromsø after the tour?
The trip is 4 hours in total included transport.
- If you join the 09:00 AM departure you will be back at 13:00 PM
- If you join the 11:00 AM departure you will be back at 15:00 PM
- If you join the 13:00 PM departure you will be back at 17:00 PM
What clothes do we need to wear?
We provide you with warm boots and a suit. But it is always good to wear several layers in wool and fleece, warm socks, a buff, hat and good mittens to stay warm on the trails.
How far in advance do I need to book a husky tour?
We recommend you to book a dog sledding tour at our kennel in Tromsø as early as possible and at least 1-2 months before you arrive to Tromsø. Spots are selling out quickly.
