Whale watching in Tromsø Norway is world known because of the amount of killer whales and humpback whales that comes into our fjords. For the last seventh years in millions of the fish herring have over-wintered in the area. As a result of this orcas, humpback whales and hundreds of sea birds comes for eating.

Our guides are experienced and certified skippers who take care, respect the whales and are following the codes of conduct for whale watching. We offer our tours in open RIB boats where you sit outside close to the elements of nature and wild life. Experience the famous feast – watch the nature, smell the fresh air and hear the whales singing.

08:45  Meet at Scandic Ishavshotell (bring your booking ref).
09:00  Pick-up by our driver with the minibus. A short drive to our dressing room at Kvaløya -The   whale Island.
09:20  Introduction by our guides and skippers. We hand out all the equipment you need to stay warm.
10:00  Whale watching and guiding on the fjords.
12:45  Our minibus will bring you back to Scandic.

Orca is a RIB boat (Rigid-inflatable boat) or also known as a rubber speed boat. Orca is used for RIB Excursions on the fjords during summer and fall and for whale watching during winter season from October untill February.

Code of conduct

Code of conduct is national guidelines for whale watching in Norway. They are developed by Visit Tromsø and local operators to protect whales and dolphins. Our skippers and guides are certified and educated and will be responsible, respectful and always take the whales into consideration.
